This handmade black and white laser-printed zine was produced by Ryan McGinley for Jack Walls’ fiftieth birthday. Walls is an iconic New York poet, artist, and writer, best known as being Robert Mapplethorpe’s muse and lover. Legendary among a certain circle of artists, Walls’ distinct and profane way of speaking was collected in a series of Walls-ian catchphrases. Written on balloons for the party, this zine was made in the aftermath. Images of deflated silver balloons with these catchphrases grace each page of this zine.
