Daido Moriyama’s “Shinobu” is the latest entry in a series of hand-bound photobooks presented in a canvas silk-screen printed cover and simultaneously the first in a new series of four books titled “Woman in the Night.”

Unable to forget Shinobu, a woman he once met in Shinjuku, Moriyama went out and captured a series of photographs following her memory…

She was a person who loved flowers.
It’s already ten years since I last saw her.
Even now, I still think of her sometimes.
